From an early age, Rex’s life has been a masterclass in adventure, innovation, and resilience. Born in Pretoria and raised in Cape Town, he was exploring the Atlantic Ocean by five, encountering pirates by five and a half, and learning cultural wisdom from Amazonian children before turning six. By the age of eight, he had launched his first business, and by ten, he had unknowingly franchised it – long before understanding what franchising even was.
This early entrepreneurial spirit evolved into a career spanning 14+ startups across finance, online property portals, and innovation in the energy sector. With a background in IT and accounting, Rex developed a scalable, future-focused approach to business, specializing in Agile transformation, innovation strategy, and leadership coaching. Today, he works as a Business Coach & Agile Facilitator, helping leaders and teams optimize performance, embrace change, and align with their full potential.
But Rex’s journey doesn’t stop in the boardroom. He is deeply committed to sustainability and regenerative living, having co-founded an urban farm in Cape Town with his wife, Saskia, and is now pioneering an off-grid project. His exploration into energy work, self-mastery, and consciousness has led him to study with renowned teachers from India, integrating both Eastern and Western wisdom into his coaching and leadership philosophy.
